CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> April 17, 2018 <br /> City Manager <br /> TITLE: APPROVE THE ANNUAL ACTION PLAN (FY 2018-19) FOR THE USE OF <br /> FEDERAL COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT (CDBG) FUNDS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> Pleasanton is anticipated to receive approximately $284,763 in federal CDBG funds for <br /> federal Fiscal Year 2018 (2018-19) and to carry over $46,953 in unallocated funds from <br /> previous years for a total of$331,716 CDBG funds for FY 2018-19. At the April 17th <br /> meeting, staff is also recommending that the Council take action regarding the <br /> allocation of federal CDBG funds for FY 2018 as part of the allocation of Housing and <br /> Human Services Grant (HHSG) funding to local non-profit agencies. This report <br /> summarizes the Annual Action Plan that must be submitted to HUD in order for the City <br /> to receive its FY 2018 allocation of CDBG funds. The report makes a recommendation <br /> to approve this document. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the Annual Action Plan for federal Fiscal Year 2018 and direct staff to submit to <br /> HUD by the applicable deadline. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> The approval of the annual Action Plan will not have a direct fiscal impact on the City. <br /> As noted earlier, the City will receive an estimated $284,763 in CDBG funds for <br /> FY 2018 (2018-19) and allocate $46,953 carry-over funds for a total of$331,716 CDBG <br /> funds for FY 2018-19. The final allocation from HUD is expected within the next several <br /> months and will be incorporated into the Action Plan. <br />
