CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 04-006 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING QUITCLAIM OF CITY'S INTEREST IN STRIP <br />OF LAND ADJACENT TO PETERS AVENUE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in 1965 the City acquired certain real property in order to extend Peters Avenue north <br /> of its then terminus at Division Street to St. John Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Peters Avenue, as thereafter constructed, is only 63 feet wide and there is property 2.25 <br />feet wide and 170 feet (approximately) long that is owned by the City, is adjacent to <br />520 St. John Street, but is not needed by the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owner of the property at 520 St. John Street has offered to buy this strip of land for <br /> fair market value; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />The City Manager is authorized to sign a deed quitclaiming the City's interest in and to <br />the land described in the attached Exhibit to the property owners of 520 St. John Street, <br />and the City Manager is authorized to accept $1009.65 as fair market value for the <br />land. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. <br /> <br />I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND REGULARLY <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT A <br />MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 3, 2004 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and Mayor Pico <br /> <br />TTEST:/q <br /> <br /> ~Dawn G.
