CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 708 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 2-5.35 and 2-5.37, OF <br /> ARTICLE 3 (SITE, YARD, BULK, USABLE OPEN SPACE AND <br /> SCREENING, AND LANDSCAPING REGULATIONS), CHAPTER 2 (ZONING), <br /> TITLE II (ZONING AND DEVELOPMENT) OF THE ORDINANCE CODE <br /> OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, RELATING TO FRONT YARD SETBACKS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ORDAINS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1 ~2-5.35 (Basic Requirements for All Districts), Articl~ <br /> 3, Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City <br /> of Pleasanton is hereby amended to require a uniform <br /> minimum front yard set back of twenty-three (23) feet <br /> for all residential zones designated R-1-6500, R-1-7500, <br /> R-1-8500 and R-l-10,000. <br /> <br />!~Section 2. ~2-5.37, and subsection (a) and (d) thereof (Front <br /> yards: Requirements and Exceptions), Article 3, Chapter ~ <br /> Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton <br /> are hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br /> ~2-5 37 Front Yards: Requirements and Exceptions. <br /> In addition to the regulations prescribed in the <br /> Zoning Schedule of ~2-5 35, the following regulation~ <br /> shall apply: <br /> <br /> a. The minimum front yard for a garage, carport, <br /> or off-street parking space required to serve <br /> a dwelling in the R-1-6,500, R-1-7,500, <br /> R-1-8,500, R-1-10,000 and RM districts shall <br /> be 23 feet, in order to accommodate a car <br /> outside the garage, carport or parking space <br /> without encroaching upon the sidewalk, pro- <br /> vided that where agarage or carport entered <br /> parallel to the street from which it has <br /> access, the front yard for the garage or car- <br /> port may be 23 feet. <br /> <br /> c .... <br /> <br /> d. Delete this section in its entirety. <br /> <br /> Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days <br /> <br /> after its final passage and adoption <br /> <br /> Section 4. This Ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> <br /> days after its adoption in "THE TIMES", a newspaper of~ <br /> <br /> <br />
