AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT BETWEEN THE <br /> BOARD O~ ADMINISTRATION <br /> PUBLIC EMPLOYEES' RETIREwra~T SYSTEM <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br /> 09 THE <br /> CITY OP PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> The Board of Administration, Public Employees' Retirement System, hereinafter <br />referred to as Board and the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY 09 PL~.ASANTON, hereinafter <br />referred to as Public Agency having entered into a contract under date of May 18, <br />1953, effective September l, 1953, and as amended effective April l, 1962, October <br />21, 1972, and as provided by Chapters 170 and 316, Statutes of 1971, which provide <br />for participation of Public Agency in said System, Board and Public Agency hereby <br />agree as follows: <br /> <br /> A. The following sub-paragraph shall be added to Paragraph 7 of said Contract: <br /> <br /> 7(d) "Local Policemen" shall include persons assigned to identification and <br /> communication duties in the Police Department who are not now <br /> local safety members and who were in such employment on August 4, <br /> 1972, who elect safety membership on or before September 28, 1973- <br /> <br /> B.
