THE CITY OF t V <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON® <br /> March 20, 2018 <br /> Fire <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THE <br /> AMERICAN RED CROSS DEFINING WORKING RELATIONSHIP IN <br /> PREPARING FOR, RESPONDING TO, AND RECOVERING FROM <br /> EMERGENCIES AND DISASTERS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the American Red Cross provides a <br /> broad framework of cooperation and support between the American Red Cross and the <br /> City in assisting individuals, families and communities who have been or could be <br /> impacted by a disaster or an emergency. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve authorizing the City Manager to execute the Memorandum of Understanding <br /> with the American Red Cross. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Approval of the MOU does not create a partnership, a joint powers agreement, a joint <br /> venture, or any financial commitments from one party to the other. <br />
