CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 699 AN ORDINANCE ENDING SECTION 3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 626 (AN ORDINANCE ELATING TO PERSONNEL PRACTICES AND AUTHORIZING THE ADOPTION BY RESOLUTION OF PERSONNEL RULES AND REGULATIONS) OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RELATING TO THE COMPOSITION OF THE PERSONNEL COMMITTEE. WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Pleasanton at its regular meeting of April 12, 1971 adopted Ordinance No. 626 governing the personnel practices of the City of Pleasanton~ and WHEREAS, Section 3 of Ordinance No. 626 created a Personnel Committee specifying the nature and compositon of said committee; and WHEREAS, experience has shown that the composition of said icommittee is in need of revision in order to insure representation Df each recognized employee organization; and WHEREAS, representatives of the City Manager's office have met .with and discussed the existing inequity and the proposed solution with representatives of the governing boards of the Pleasanton Employees Association and the International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1974. NOW, THEREFORE the City Council of the City of Pleasanton does Ordain as follows: Section 1. Section 3 (The Personnel Committee) of Ordinance No. 626 (An Ordinance Relating to Personnel Practices and Author~ izing the adoption by Resolution of Personnel Rules and RegulationS) of the City of Pleasanton relating to the Personnel Committee composition is hereby amended by an amendment to subparagraph C and the addition of a new subparagraph F to read as follows: C. One member of the competitive service to be elected by a majority vote of the full-time permanent employees in the competetive service.
