Lower Income Housing Fund for the Sunflower Hill project. The Sunflower Hill
development on the 1.65 acre city parcel is in process was unanimously approved by
the City Council on February 6, 2018.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT REPORT
A Growth Management Report was presented to the City Council on October 15, 2013,
determining that the annual unit allocation commencing July 1, 2014, through June 30,
2022, is 235 units, consistent with the city's RHNA (Regional Housing Need Allocation).
On February 3, 2015, the City Council further amended Pleasanton Municipal Code
Chapter 17.36 to ensure that the Growth Management Ordinance does not include
constraints that would prevent the City from meeting its share of the regional housing
need for all income levels during the Housing Element planning period and stated the
City's intention to have the City Manager regularly report on efforts to meet goals of the
Growth Management Ordinance.
In 2017, the City approved a total of forty-one (41) Growth Management Allocations.
Thirty-six (36) of those allocations were approved by the City Council, and five (5) were
administratively approved by the Zoning Administrator. Fifty-six (56) additional Growth
Management Allocations were also approved to be deferred until 2017 from the
Centerpointe project (north of the intersection of Valley Avenue and Busch Road), the
Lund Ranch project, and the Irby Ranch project, in response to concerns about the rate
of residential growth and the drought at the time of their approvals.
ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
This is an informational report and not a project as defined by CEQA Guidelines Section
15378. Therefore no environmental assessment is required.
Submit d by: Approved by:
kY(A
"Gerry Beaudin Nelson Fialho
Director of Community City Manager
Development
Attachments:
1.
