So please, do not spend $1M widening a road that doesn't even need it. That money could go a lot further for <br /> safe routes to schools, better bus stops, or other amenities. I hope you can convince others that$1M+is much <br /> better spent elsewhere, on a project that is a win for everyone. <br /> If we're going to, at the same time, <br /> 1)put the bike/ped crossing underneath the road like Davis does, <br /> 2) or use the opportunity to put fully,protected bike lanes in along Owens, <br /> that might be something I would consider.
