VIII. CODE, GENERAL PLAN AND PERMITS <br />Attention Getting Devices. At no time shall balloons, banners, pennants, or <br />other attention getting devices be utilized on the site except as allowed by <br />Section 18.96.060.K of the Zoning Ordinance for grand openings or by Section <br />18.116.040 of the Zoning Ordinance if approved as part of a temporary <br />conditional use permit. At no time shall spot lighting be used in conjunction with <br />such grand openings and/or promotional events. <br />2. Grand Openings. Temporary signs, banners, pennants, and decorations shall <br />be allowed subject to the requirements of Section 18.96.060.K of the Pleasanton <br />Municipal Code. <br />3. Noise. Except as otherwise modified by the conditions of approval for this case, <br />compliance with the City's noise standards shall be achieved. <br />4. Del Valle Dam Evacuation System. Prior to occupancy, the Project Developer <br />shall meet with the Fire Marshal, or his or her designee, about the Del Valle Dam <br />evacuation system, in the event of flooding. The Project Developer shall provide <br />information from the Fire Marshal to all future tenants and on-site managers. <br />5. Appliances and/or systems that meet Energy Star standards shall be installed as <br />part of the project. The proposed appliances and/or systems and how they <br />adhere to the Energy Star standards shall be stated on the plans submitted for <br />the issuance of a building permit. <br />6. An estimate of the energy savings from the installation of solar roofs or other <br />alternative energy measures shall be prepared by the Project Developer, with a <br />goal of a 12.5% minimum reduction of annual energy use. The calculation(s) <br />shall be submitted with the building permit plan set. <br />7. The project shall include bicycle and pedestrian connections. The bicycle and <br />pedestrian connections shall be shown on the building permit plan set submitted <br />to the Director of Parks and Community Services for review and approval before <br />issuance of the first building permit. <br />8. The project shall include: 1) light colored pavement and/or pavers, if pavement <br />and/or pavers are proposed; and/or 2) strategically placed shade trees, to reduce <br />the sun's heating of the site. These measures shall be shown on the building <br />permit plan set submitted to the Director of Parks and Community Services for <br />review and approval before issuance of the first building permit. <br />9. Water conservation devices shall be installed as part of the project, if one or <br />more water fixture is proposed. The water conservation devices shall be stated <br />on the plans submitted for the issuance of a building permit. <br />33 <br />
