VII. EIR MITIGATIONS AND MONITORING MEASURES <br />1. Noise. To limit exposure to noise levels above 65 CNEL in the Community Park, active <br />park uses such as sports fields and play grounds shall be located outside the 65 CNEL <br />contour. Trails shall be located outside the 65 CNEL contour, except when they connect <br />to the regional trail, or to a proposed or anticipated sidewalk/trail on the adjacent retail <br />center site. <br />2. Incorporate Wildlife into Landscaping Plans. Prior to the issuance of a <br />building permit, the Project Developer shall revise the plans such that numerous <br />wildlife shelter and food plant species listed in the Forage and Shelter Plant list, <br />Exhibit B, are incorporated into the multi -use lawn area and/or non -irrigated <br />meadow area on the southern portion of the site. This area of the site shall be <br />revised such that at least one water trough, accessible by wildlife, is available for <br />use by wildlife in the southern portion of the site. The plant list and the water <br />trough shall be subject to the review and approval of the Director of Parks and <br />Community Services prior to the issuance of a building permit. <br />3. Transit System Management (TSM) Plan. The manager of the Ice Center shall <br />be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the TSM plan in Exhibit B. The <br />manager of the Ice Center shall join the City of Pleasanton's TSM program. A <br />full time manager at the Ice Center shall be assigned to be the TSM manager. <br />The business operator shall attempt to achieve a trip reduction goal of 15 percent <br />within five years and 25 percent within 10 years, compared to "business as <br />usual". Verification of adherence to this condition of approval shall be provided to <br />the City's TSM coordinator on an annual basis. <br />4. Arroyo Mocho Setback. All buildings shall be set back a minimum of 20 feet <br />from the top of bank of the Arroyo Mocho, in case there is a seismically induced <br />bank failure. <br />5. Plan to Reduce Air Pollution from Stationary Sources. The manager of the <br />Ice Center shall be responsible for ensuring the implementation of the plan to <br />reduce air pollution from stationary sources in Exhibit B'. <br />6. Construction Noise—Best Management Practices. The Project Developer <br />shall implement construction best management practices, including the following, to <br />reduce construction noise: <br />a. Locate stationary construction equipment as far from adjacent occupied <br />buildings as possible. <br />b. Select routes for movement of construction related vehicles and equipment so <br />that noise sensitive areas, including residences, and outdoor recreation <br />areas, are avoided as much as possible. Include these routes in materials <br />submitted to the City of Pleasanton for approval prior to the issuance of <br />building permits. <br />22 <br />
