PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC -2009-39 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL APPROVE THE <br />ADDENDUM TO THE FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT FOR THE <br />STONERIDGE DRIVE SPECIFIC PLAN AMENDMENT/STAPLES RANCH PROJECT <br />WHEREAS, the Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Stoneridge Drive <br />Specific Plan Amendment/Staples Ranch Project evaluated the impacts of <br />the proposed ice center at approximately 138,500 square feet in size; and <br />the ice center is currently proposed to be approximately 141,679 square feet <br />in size due to a design modification; and <br />WHEREAS, based on a review of the potential environmental impacts of the increased <br />size of the ice center, the Director of Community Development has directed <br />that an EIR Addendum be prepared; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton prepared an Addendum to the Final Environmental <br />Impact Report for the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment/Staples <br />Ranch Project and is considering its adoption; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a noticed public hearing on November 5, <br />2009 to receive comments on the Addendum to the Final EIR; and <br />WHEREAS, at its noticed public hearing of November 5, 2009, the Planning <br />Commission considered the Addendum to the Final EIR. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends that the City Council approve the Addendum to the Final <br />EIR for the Stoneridge Drive Specific Plan Amendment/Staples Ranch <br />Project, attached as Exhibit A. <br />Section 4. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />
