PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC -2009-27 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND CHAPTER 18.68 AND VARIOUS RELATED <br />SECTIONS OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE PUD <br />PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, AS FILED UNDER CASE PRZ-41 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to amend Chapter 18.68 <br />and various related sections of the Pleasanton Municipal Code to reflect <br />changes in the organization, changes in terminology used, process <br />improvement, and language clarification; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 12, 2009, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning the amendments to the <br />Municipal Code; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning ordinance amendments are exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) per Section 15061(b)(3); and <br />it is unlikely that there is a potential for causing a significant effect on the <br />environment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed amendment, <br />when implemented, would provide clarification of the organizational <br />changes within the City, would allow existing structures to have a more <br />streamlined process for additions or improvements to property, would <br />allow a seamless process facilitation project coordination between the <br />planned unit development and tentative map entitlements, and would <br />realize a more efficient process for the City's customers. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case PRZ-41, the application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to amend Chapter 18. 68 and various related sections of the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code to reflect changes in the organization, <br />changes in terminology used, process improvement, and language <br />clarification, as shown on Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part of this <br />case by reference. <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />
