PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC -2008-08 <br />RESOLUTION UPHOLDING THE APPEAL OF GERALD HODNEFIELD, PAP -114, <br />THEREBY OVERTURNING THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S DENIAL <br />OF AN APPLICATION FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE PDR -684 <br />WHEREAS, Gerald Hodnefield applied for design review approval to construct a <br />four -car carport for the office building located at 1020 Serpentine Lane in <br />Valley Business Park; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD -1 (Planned Unit Development — Industrial) <br />District; and <br />WHEREAS, on November 20, 2007, the Zoning Administrator denied the application <br />for design review; and <br />WHEREAS, on December 4, 2007, Gerald Hodnefield appealed the Zoning <br />Administrator's decision to the Planning Commission; and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of February 13, 2008, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, .relevant .exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br />WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt from environmental review pursuant to <br />California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines, Section 15301(a); and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the design and setbacks of the <br />proposed project are appropriate and are consistent with the appearance <br />of the existing buildings in the area. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Upholds Case PAP -114, the appeal of Gerald Hodnefield, thereby <br />overturning the Zoning Administrator's denial of Case PDR -684, <br />Mr. Hodnefield's application for design review approval to construct a <br />four -car carport for the office building located at 1020 Serpentine Lane in <br />Valley Business Park, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit B, attached <br />hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br />
