PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC -2008-08 RESOLUTION UPHOLDING THE APPEAL OF GERALD HODNEFIELD, PAP -114, THEREBY OVERTURNING THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR'S DENIAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PDR -684 WHEREAS, Gerald Hodnefield applied for design review approval to construct a four -car carport for the office building located at 1020 Serpentine Lane in Valley Business Park; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD -1 (Planned Unit Development — Industrial) District; and WHEREAS, on November 20, 2007, the Zoning Administrator denied the application for design review; and WHEREAS, on December 4, 2007, Gerald Hodnefield appealed the Zoning Administrator's decision to the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of February 13, 2008, the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, .relevant .exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and WHEREAS, this project is categorically exempt from environmental review pursuant to California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines, Section 15301(a); and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the design and setbacks of the proposed project are appropriate and are consistent with the appearance of the existing buildings in the area. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Upholds Case PAP -114, the appeal of Gerald Hodnefield, thereby overturning the Zoning Administrator's denial of Case PDR -684, Mr. Hodnefield's application for design review approval to construct a four -car carport for the office building located at 1020 Serpentine Lane in Valley Business Park, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit B, attached hereto and made part of this case by reference.
