CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 676 AN ORDINANCE LOWERING EXISTING PRIMA FACIE SPEED LIMITS ON A PORTION OF SANTA RITA ROAD AND ON TASSAJARA ROAD THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 5-6.05 of Article 2 of Chapter 6 of Title V of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended by the addition thereto of subsections "1" and "m" dealing with the speed limit on Santa Rita Road from Valley Avenue to Tassajara Road and with the speed limit on Tassajara Road from its commencement to the intersection thereof with the Interstate 580 interchange, respectively, said subsections as added to provide as follows: ~5-6.05 Decrease of State L'aw Maximum Speed. It is hereby determined upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation that the speed permitted by State law outside the business and residence districts as applicable upon the following streets is greater than is reasonable or safe under the conditions found to exist upon such streets, and it is hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth on those streets or parts of streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof: Santa Rita Road. On Santa Rita Road from Valley Avenue to Tassajara Road the speed limit shall be 45 miles per hour. Tassajara Road. On Tassajara Road from its commencer ment to the intersection thereof with Interstate 580 interchange the speed limit shall be 55 miles per hour.
