<br />". <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-99-69 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE FINAL <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT PREPARED FOR THE SAN FRANCISCO <br />WATER DEPARTMENT BERNAL PROPERTY PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton is considering a Specific Plan, Development Agreement, <br />Prezoning, annexation, and other related actions affecting approximately 596 <br />acres of land on both sides of 1-680 south of Bernal Avenue (collectively, the <br />"Project"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton provided proper legal notice of preparation and the <br />availability of the Draft Environmental Impact Report ("EIR") for this Project; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held a public hearing on June 24, I 997 to receive public <br />comments regarding the Draft EIR; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant on has accepted and responded to comments to the Draft EIR <br />from public agencies having jurisdiction by law, persons having special expertise <br />with respect to any environmental impact involved, and other persons and <br />organizations having an interest in the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Final EIR has been prepared and contains the Draft EIR, comments and <br />recommendations received on the Draft EIR, and the responses to points raised <br />regarding environmental issues in the review and consultation process; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has provided proper notice of completion of the Final EIR <br />for the Project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission held noticed public hearings on June 9, June 23, <br />June 28, July 7, July 16, and October 7, 1999, and considered the completeness <br />and adequacy of the Final EIR; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission originally found the Final EIR incomplete at its July 16, <br />1999 meeting, however, subsequent additional environmental information and <br />review has occurred and has been presented to the Planning Commission which <br />addresses prior concerns. <br />
