CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO 669 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE IV OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF CHAPTER 5 RELATING TO RULES AND REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF CITY RECREATION FACILITIES THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0F PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I. Title IV of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended by the addition thereto of Chapter 5 relating to Rules and Regulations for the use of City Recreation ifacilities, said chapter as added to provide as follows: Chapter 5 Regulations of R'ecreation Facilities Article 1 Definitions Section 4-7.70 Purpose and Intent. The intent and purpose of this chapter is to provide rules and regulations respecting the use of City Recreation facilities which are necessary to protect the public health, safety and general welfare of the residents of the City of Pleasanton and users of recreation facilities, and which are felt necessary to insure that said recreation facilities are maintained in a manner consistent with the broadest use thereof by the resi- dents of the City of Pleasanton. Section 4-7.71 Definitions. For the purposes of this chapter the following words and phrases shall have meanings as hereinafter provided: (a) "Recreation Facilities" shall mean any public park, parkway, golf course, playground, recreation center or recreation area, whether it be improved or unimproved real property or whether located within or without the territorial limits of the City which is owned, leased or under the control of the City for recreational purposes or which serves or is used for recreational purposes. (b) "Director" shall mean the Director of Parks and Recreation of the City.
