<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-99-54 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF JOSEPH AND MARICELA <br />BARONE FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE Z-98-287 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Joseph and Maricela Barone have applied for design review approval to allow the <br />construction of a permanent parking area for Barones restaurant located at 493 St. <br />John Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District and Downtown <br />Revitalization District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 11, 1999, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and reCOmmendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); therefore, no environmental <br />document was prepared for this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed permanent parking area <br />will provide in excess of the minimum parking required for the restaurant use and <br />will help to reduce parking impacts to surrounding City streets and businesses. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves the application of Joseph and Maricela Barone for design review <br />approval to allow the construction of a permanent parking area for Barones <br />restaurant located at 493 St. John Street, subject to the conditions shown in <br />Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption <br />unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
