PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-99-33 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE CITY ACQUISITION OF A 3.1 ACRE PARCEL FOR CIVIC CENTER USES WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant on has requested confirmation that the City acquisition ofa 3.1 acre parcel located at the northwest corner of Bernal Avenue and Old Bernal Avenue (across Old Bernal Avenue from the Pleasanton Library) for civic center uses (parking facility, structure, library, city hall, etc.) is conformance with the City's General Plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated March 3, 1999, and received the recommendations of staff; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of April 14, 1999, the Planning Commission received a proposed negative declaration prepared for the proposed project; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project would not have a significant environmental impact; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission further finds that the proposed project will have no potential for adverse impacts on the site's wildlife.
