When the total of said surcharges collected hereunder are sufficient to satisfy the above require- ments the appropriate City officers shall immediately cease collecting said surcharge. h. For each dwelling unit and mobilehome tribu- tary to the sewage treatment plant owned and operated by the City of Pleasanton there shal~ be imposed a surcharge in order to fund modi- fications made to said sewage treatment plant i~ to suppress or eliminate odors emanating " therefrom and to otherwise satisfy the require- ments of the California Regional Water Quality Control Board and in addition to any other sewer connection charge or surcharge provided for by City the sum of $125.00. For Commercial and Industrial units as define in (c) above, a surcharge in an amount which under (c) above 3 i. Subsection (a) of ~2-15.03 of Article 1, Chapter 8, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended so ~'as to provide as follows: "~ 2-15.03 Charges. The following monthly charges are here- by established for sewage services and sewer facili- ties furnished by the City. a. Residential Unit: $3.50 a month III. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its enactment pursuant to ~36937 of the Government Code as an excise tax levied upon connection to and use of the sewer treatmen~ plant of the City of Pleasanton in order to fund the usual and .current expenses related thereto. IV. iiThis Ordinance shall be published once within 15 days after its adoption in the "TIMES", a newspaper of general circulation, pub- lished and circulated in the City of Pleasanton.
