<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-85 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF JOSEPH AND MARICELA <br />BARONE FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE Z-98-286 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Joseph and Maricela Barone have applied for design review approval to allow the <br />installation of a temporary tent structure over the outdoor patio deck of Barone's <br />restaurant located at 475 St. John Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of November 10, 1998, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); therefore, no environmental <br />document was prepared for this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed tent will not be <br />aesthetically detrimental to the restaurant or to the surrounding neighborhood. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves Case Z-98-286, the application of Joseph and Maricela Barone for <br />design review approval to allow the installation of a temporary tent structure over <br />the outdoor patio deck of Barone's restaurant located at 475 St. John Street, <br />subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made part of <br />this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption <br />unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
