<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-80 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF ANTRIM ENGINEERING <br />AND CONSTRUCTION FOR A VARIANCE FROM THE MUNICIPAL CODE AND <br />DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE V -98-13/Z-98-226 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Antrim Engineering and Construction, Inc. has applied for a variance from the <br />Municipal Code to reduce a required front yard setback from 25 feet to 15 feet and <br />for design review approval for an approximately 7,950 square foot single-story <br />warehouse building located a 5794 Sonoma Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is I-P (Industrial Park) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of October 28, 1998, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects ofthis nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the three required variance findings <br />could be made and that the requested variance for the Sunol Boulevard setback <br />can be supported; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed building will be an <br />attractive addition to the Sonoma Drive area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves Case V-98-13/Z-98-226, the application of Antrim Engineering and <br />Construction, Inc. for a variance from the Municipal Code to reduce a required <br />front yard setback from 25 feet to 15 feet and for design review approval for an <br />approximately 7,950 square foot single-story warehouse building located a 5794 <br />Sonoma Drive, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto <br />and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption <br />unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
