<br />55. The applicant shall arrange and pay for the geotechnical consultant to inspect and <br />approve all foundation, retaining wall and drainage geotechnical aspects of project <br />construction. The consultant shall be present on site during grading and <br />excavation operations. The results of the inspections and the as-built conditions of <br />the project shall be certified in writing by the geotechnical consultant for <br />conformance to the approved plans and geotechnical report and submitted to the <br />City Engineer and Director of Building Inspection for review and approval prior to <br />occupancy. <br /> <br />56. The applicant shall submit a final grading and drainage plan prepared by a licensed <br />civil engineer depicting all final grades and on-site drainage control measures, <br />including concrete-lined V-ditches, to protect all cut and fill slopes from surface <br />water overflow. This plan shall be subject to the review and approval of the City <br />Engineer and!or the Director of Building Inspection prior to the issuance of any <br />building permits <br /> <br />57. The developer shall install street frontage and related off-site improvements per <br />Chapter 19.40.010 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code and to the satisfaction of the <br />City Engineer. These improvements may include, but are not necessarily limited <br />to, all grading, curb and gutter, sidewalk, paving, storm drain, sanitary sewer, <br />water facilities, street lighting, underground utilities, traffic control devices, <br />landscaping, and automatic irrigation systems. The proposed plans shall be <br />submitted for review with the tentative map and include the following: <br /> <br />a. An 8 ft. wide, separated meandering sidewalk / bicycle PCC sidewalk shall be <br />shown along the east side of Foothill Road within a 15 ft. wide right-of-way area <br />behind the face of curb along the project frontage. <br /> <br />b. A traffic signal shall be installed at the intersection of Foothill Road and <br />Muirwood Drive subject to the design requirements of the City Traffic Engineer. <br />Plans shall include details of signage, striping and existing intersection <br />modifications deemed necessary to discourage northbound traffic on Foothill Road <br />from using Muirwood Drive as a shortcut to eastbound West Las Positas <br />Boulevard. These modifications may include "No Right on Red" signs and <br />recessed stop markings on the pavement. <br /> <br />c. The typical street section for Foothill Road shall be revised to show two double <br />yellow lines separating the different travel lanes, smoother travel lane transitions <br />on either side of the project frontage, and a 1 1/2 inch street overlay, the exact <br /> <br />PUD-96-l4 <br /> <br />Page 55 <br />
