<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-66 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF VALLEYCARE HEALTH <br />SYSTEM FOR DESIGN REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE Z-98-1 04 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, ValleyCare Health System has applied for design review approval to allow the <br />construction of an approximately 58,000 square foot, three-story addition to the <br />existing ValleyCare Hospital for a 60-bed skilled nursing unit, hospital laboratory, <br />in-patient pharmacy, and records storage located at 5555 West Las Positas <br />Boulevard; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - PII <br />(PubliclInstitutional) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of August 26, 1998, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the environmental impacts of the proposed addition were evaluated in the Initial <br />Study and Negative Declaration approved by the City Council for the original <br />PUD rezoning and development plan approval, therefore, no environmental <br />document was prepared for this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project is attractive and <br />well-designed and is appropriate for the site. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section I. <br /> <br />Approves Case Z-98-104, the application of Valley Care Health System for design <br />review approval to allow the construction of an approximately 58,000 square foot, <br />three-story addition to the existing ValleyCare Hospital for a 60-bed skilled <br />nursing unit, hospital laboratory, in-patient pharmacy, and records storage located <br />at 5555 West Las Positas Boulevard, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit <br />"B, n attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption <br />unless appealed prior to that time. <br />
