PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-62 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE NEGATIVE DECLARATION PREPARED FOR THE APPLICATION OF CHEVRON PRODUCTS COMPANY, INC., AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-97-14 AND UP-97-70 WHEREAS, Chevron Products Company, Inc. has applied for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development plan approval and for a conditional use permit to allow the construction and operation of a 24-hour self-service gasoline station convenience store located at 1797 Santa Rita Road; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is CoN (Neighborhood Commercial) District; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has received and reviewed the Initial Study dated July 29, 1998, and received the recommendations of staff; and WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 29, 1998, the Planning Commission received a proposed negative declaration prepared for the proposed project; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held at which time the public was given the opportunity to comment on the environmental impacts of the proposal; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the potential impacts in accordance with the applicable state and local guidelines governing the preparation of Negative Declarations and Environmental Impact Reports; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project would not have a significant environmental impact. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Recommends approval of the Negative Declaration prepared for the application of Chevron Products Company, Inc. for Planned Unit Development rezoning and development plan approval and for a conditional use permit to allow the construction and operation of a 24-hour self-service gasoline station convenience store located at 1797 Santa Rita Road. Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after its passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that time.
