<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-61 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARILY <br />CLOSE HARVEST ROAD WHILE A STUDY IS BEING CONDUCTED TO <br />DETERMINE PERMANENT TRAFFIC SOLUTIONS FOR THE HARVEST ROAD <br />NEIGHBORHOOD <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 29, 1998, the City of Pleasanton Planning Commission, <br />during its review of a conditional use permit to operate a pre-school for children at <br />the Valley Community Church located at 4455 Del Valle Parkway discussed <br />issues regarding traffic in the Harvest Road neighborhood; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that a study should be undertaken and data <br />received by a citizen's committee consisting of residents and church and high <br />school representatives to determine permanent traffic solutions in the <br />neighborhood in the Harvest Road at Del Valle Parkway area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that while the study is being conducted <br />Harvest Road at Del Valle Parkway should be temporarily closed. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends that the City Council temporarily close Harvest Road at Del Valle <br />Parkway while a citizen's committee composed of residents and representatives of <br />the church and high school conduct a study to determine permanent traffic <br />solutions for the Harvest Road neighborhood. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
