<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-59 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE CITY COUNCIL INITIATE AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE DOWNTOWN SPECIFIC PLAN FOR THE PROPERTY <br />LOCATED AT 325 RAY STREET <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Pacific Union Ventures, Inc. has applied for Planned Unit Development rezoning <br />and development plan approval for the construction of a 26,240 square foot <br />office/retail building to be located at 325 Ray Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of July 29, 1998, the Planning Commission, <br />after considering all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of <br />the City staff, expressed concerns regarding the proposed project's impacts on the <br />adjacent neighbors and on Downtown traffic and parking, and adopted a <br />resolution denying the application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the Downtown Specific Plan land use <br />designation for the site should be changed to medium density residential (with <br />single-family homes) and that adequate setbacks for the site should be provided <br />along the Arroyo Del Valle to protect existing trees. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Recommends that the City Council initiate an amendment to the Downtown <br />Specific Plan to change the land use designation for the site located at 325 Ray <br />Street to medium density residential (with single-family homes) and to provide <br />adequate setbacks along the Arroyo Del Valle to protect existing trees on the site. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
