CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 654 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 1 of TITLE I OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON BY THE ADDITION THERETO OF S1-1.13 DESIGNATING CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES AS PEACE OFFICERS FOR PURPOSES OF ENFORCING THE PROVISIONS OF THE ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: I. Chapter 1 of Title I of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasant~n i~is hereby amended by the addition thereto of S1-1.13 designating !!certain public employees other than police officers as peace offi- ~lcers, said section as added to provide as follows: i~ "S1-1.13 Peace Officers. Employees of the City of Pleasanton in the following job classification shall, when designated by their respective department heads in writing and provided with appropriate identification, be deemed peace officers pursuant to S836.5 of the Penal Code of the State of California for the purpose of enforcing the provisions of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton: Public Works Inspector Building Inspector Zoning Enforcement Officer." II. This ordinance shall be published once within 15 days after its ,.adoption in "THE TIMES", a newspaper of general circulation, pub- lilished in the City of Pleasanton, and shall be in force on the i~thirty-first day after adoption. !INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City i~of Pleasanton on February 28, 1972.
