<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-54 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON, AS FILED UNDER CASE SP-98-02 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has applied to modifY the text of the Pleasanton Downtown <br />Specific Plan by deleting the recommendation for the realignment of St. John <br />Street and Ray Street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District, Core Area Overlay <br />District, and Downtown Revitalization District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the requirements of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 8, 1998, the Planning Commission considered all public <br />testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed realignment could <br />potentially disrupt the existing character and historical feel of Main Street. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section I. <br /> <br />Recommends approval of Case SP-98-02, the application of the City of <br />Pleasanton to modifY the text of the Pleasanton Downtown Specific Plan by <br />deleting the recommendation for the realignment of St. John Street and Ray <br />Street, as shown in Exhibit "A," attached hereto and incorporated herein by <br />reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
