RESOLUTION NO. 17-978 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> NOTICING ITS INTENT TO ADOPT A JOHNSON DRIVE ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT ZONE TRANSPORTATION FEE <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton ("City") has identified the approximately forty <br /> acres comprised of the twelve parcels located at 7106-7315 Johnson Drive and 7035 <br /> and 7080 Commerce Circle as the Johnson Drive Economic Development Zone <br /> ("JDEDZ"); and <br /> WHEREAS, to implement the JDEDZ, the City has applied for applications for: <br /> (1) approval of a General Plan Amendment to change the land use designation of the <br /> project site from Business Park (Industrial/Commercial and Office) and General and <br /> Limited Industrial to Retail/Highway/ Service Commercial; Business and Professional <br /> Offices; and (2) approval of a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Rezoning to rezone the <br /> project site from Planned Unit Development-General and Light Industrial (PUD-G&LI) <br /> District, Planned Unit Development Industrial/Commercial-Office (PUD I/C 0) District, <br /> and General Industrial (I-G-40,000) District to PUD-C District; and <br /> WHEREAS, in order to mitigate the traffic impacts of new development in the <br /> JDEDZ, the City intends on adopting a JDEDZ Transportation Fee, which would be <br /> imposed on new development in the JDEDZ. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER <br /> THE FOLLOWING: <br /> City staff is directed to present to the City Council for its consideration a JDEDZ <br /> Transportation Fee. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of <br /> Pleasanton at a regulation meeting held on November 7, 2017. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the <br /> foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on 7th <br /> day of November, 2017 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Vice Mayor Pentin <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Recused: Mayor Thorne <br />
