PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-33 RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE HAPPY V ALLEY SPECIFIC PLAN, SUBJECT TO MITIGATION MONITORING PROGRAM WHEREAS, the City Council initiated the Happy Valley Specific Plan process in March 1997 to establish a comprehensive plan for the 860-acre area located south of Sycamore Road in the vicinity of Alisal Street and Happy Valley Road; and WHEREAS, Specific Plan documents were subsequently prepared by staff and City consultants; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton met on April 22, 1998, and April 29, 1998, and held public hearings upon the completeness and adequacy of the Final Environmental Impact Report, the EIR Mitigation Monitoring Program intended to implement the various EIR mitigation measures; the CEQA findings; and statement of overriding considerations for the anticipated project impacts; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of April 29, 1998, the Planning Commission reviewed the proposed Happy Valley Specific Plan and considered all related reports, documents, testimony, and recommendations. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Finds the Happy Valley Specific Plan to be in accordance with the provisions of the General Plan and the project General Plan amendments. Section 2. Recommends approval of the Happy Valley Draft Specific Plan, dated February 1998, with the modifications listed on the attached Exhibit "A" and subject to the requirements of the Environmental Impact Report Mitigation Monitoring Program, attached as Exhibit "B." Section3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
