<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-33 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE HAPPY V ALLEY <br />SPECIFIC PLAN, SUBJECT TO MITIGATION MONITORING PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council initiated the Happy Valley Specific Plan process in March 1997 <br />to establish a comprehensive plan for the 860-acre area located south of Sycamore <br />Road in the vicinity of Alisal Street and Happy Valley Road; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Specific Plan documents were subsequently prepared by staff and City <br />consultants; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Pleasanton met on April 22, 1998, and <br />April 29, 1998, and held public hearings upon the completeness and adequacy of <br />the Final Environmental Impact Report, the EIR Mitigation Monitoring Program <br />intended to implement the various EIR mitigation measures; the CEQA findings; <br />and statement of overriding considerations for the anticipated project impacts; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of April 29, 1998, the Planning Commission <br />reviewed the proposed Happy Valley Specific Plan and considered all related <br />reports, documents, testimony, and recommendations. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Finds the Happy Valley Specific Plan to be in accordance with the provisions of <br />the General Plan and the project General Plan amendments. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Recommends approval of the Happy Valley Draft Specific Plan, dated February <br />1998, with the modifications listed on the attached Exhibit "A" and subject to the <br />requirements of the Environmental Impact Report Mitigation Monitoring <br />Program, attached as Exhibit "B." <br /> <br />Section3. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br />
