CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 03-116 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AN AD HOC TASK FORCE <br />AND APPOINTING MEMBERS THERETO <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />in 1994, the City Council replaced the Board of Commissioners, which had been <br />in place to oversee the activities of Kottinger Place, with the Housing Commission <br />that was given a broader role dealing not only with Kottinger Place and other City <br />affordable housing projects, but also as a range of affordable housing issues <br />impacting the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the Housing Commission continues to regularly review the activities of Kottinger <br />Place and recently, the Commission expressed concern regarding the long-term <br />needs of Kottinger Place; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its meeting of October 2, 2003, the Housing Commission recommended the City <br />Council authorize the creation of a Task Force for the purpose of exploring <br />redevelopment alternatives for a combined and expanded Kottinger Place and <br />Pleasanton Gardens. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br />Section 2: <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />The City Council hereby establishes an ad hoc Task Force. <br /> <br />The Task Force shall be comprised of ten members with two members from the <br />Housing Commission, two members from Pleasanton Gardens, a member from the <br />Parks & Recreation Commission, and five at-large members to be appointed by <br />the Mayor. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
