<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-98-09 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FINDING THAT THE CITY PURCHASE OF AN APPROXIMATELY <br />36,931 SQUARE FOOT SITE FOR A PROPOSED FIRE DISTRICT <br />HEADQUARTERS BUILDING IS IN CONFORMANCE WITH THE PLEASANTON <br />GENERAL PLAN AND THE CURRENT PUD DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR THE <br />SITE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasant on has requested confirmation that the proposed City purchase <br />of an approximately 36,931 square foot site for a proposed, approximately 8,000 <br />square foot headquarters building, providing administration, fire prevention, <br />emergency medical offices, and training services, is in conformance with the <br />Pleasanton General Plan and with the current PUD Development Plan for the site <br />located between Del Valle Parkway and the Arroyo Del Valle, approximately 55 <br />feet westerly of Bernal Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - C (Commercial) <br />District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of February II, 1998, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations ofthe <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the proposed headquarters/office building qualifies for a categorical exemption <br />from the requirements of the California Enviromnental Quality Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed fire department <br />headquarters/office building can be considered a conforming land use to the <br />General Plan and PUD Development Plan land use designations covering the <br />subject property. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section I. <br /> <br />Finds that the proposed City purchase of an approximately 36,931 square foot site <br />for a proposed, approximately 8,000 square foot headquarters building, providing <br />administration, fire prevention, emergency medical offices, and training services, <br />is in conformance with the Pleasanton General Plan and with the current PUD <br />Development Plan for the site located between Del Valle Parkway and the Arroyo <br />Del Valle, approximately 55 feet westerly of Bernal Avenue. <br />
