Resolution No. PC-98-08 Page 9 46) Fire alarm and detection systems are required subject to the review and approval by the Fire Chief. Detailed plans showing the facility layout, including ceiling heights, office areas, storage plans and heights, etc. shall be submitted by the applicants to the Fire Chief prior to installation of said systems. 47) The applicant shall post address numerals on the building so as to be plainly visible from all adjoining streets or driveways during both daylight and night time hours. Tenant spaces shall be identified as determined by the City. 48) The development shall meet all requirements of the Pleasanton Fire Code (Chapter 20.24 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code). 49) The site shall be kept free of fire hazards from the start of construction to final inspection. 50) Approval for the number, type and location of fire hydrants shall be subject to the ap- proval of the Fire Chief and the City Engineer. 51) The applicant shall ensure that fire protection facilities, including all surface roads, fire hydrants, and a water supply capable of furnishing the required fire flow shall be installed and serviceable prior to and during the time of construction. When alternate methods of protection are as approved by the Fire Chief, this requirement may be waived or modi- fied. Proposed alternative methods of fire protection shall be submitted, in writing, to the Fire Chief. Work on the alternative fire protection methods shall not start without the ap- proval of the Fire Chief. 52) All roads on the site are designated as fire apparatus access roads by the Fire Chief and must be maintained in accordance with Section 10.201 of the Uniform Fire Code and be accessible at all times from the start of construction until the project is completed. Curbs must be painted red or "No Parking" signs provided as required by the vehicle code. Police 53) If required by the Police Department, the building(s) shall be equipped with an alarm sys- tem, the type to be approved by the Police Department; this system shall be installed prior to occupancy of the building. Engineering 54) The developer shall install 6 ft. wide natural colored concrete sidewalk along the street frontage of the project site. Said sidewalk shall be installed adjacent to the curb and gut- ter and shall be poured monolithically. A detail of the sidewalk shall be provided on the plans submitted for issuance of building permits and shall be subject to review and ap- proval by the City Engineer.
