<br />Resolution No. PC-98-08 <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />46) Fire alarm and detection systems are required subject to the review and approval by the <br />Fire Chief. Detailed plans showing the facility layout, including ceiling heights, office <br />areas, storage plans and heights, etc. shall be submitted by the applicants to the Fire Chief <br />prior to installation of said systems. <br /> <br />47) The applicant shall post address numerals on the building so as to be plainly visible from <br />all adjoining streets or driveways during both daylight and night time hours. Tenant <br />spaces shall be identified as determined by the City. <br /> <br />48) The development shall meet all requirements of the Pleasanton Fire Code (Chapter 20.24 <br />of the Pleasanton Municipal Code). <br /> <br />49) The site shall be kept free of fire hazards from the start of construction to final inspection. <br /> <br />50) Approval for the number, type and location of fire hydrants shall be subject to the ap- <br />proval of the Fire Chief and the City Engineer. <br /> <br />51) The applicant shall ensure that fire protection facilities, including all surface roads, fire <br />hydrants, and a water supply capable of furnishing the required fire flow shall be installed <br />and serviceable prior to and during the time of construction. When alternate methods of <br />protection are as approved by the Fire Chief, this requirement may be waived or modi- <br />fied. Proposed alternative methods of fire protection shall be submitted, in writing, to the <br />Fire Chief. Work on the alternative fire protection methods shall not start without the ap- <br />proval of the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />52) All roads on the site are designated as fire apparatus access roads by the Fire Chief and <br />must be maintained in accordance with Section 10.201 of the Uniform Fire Code and be <br />accessible at all times from the start of construction until the project is completed. Curbs <br />must be painted red or "No Parking" signs provided as required by the vehicle code. <br /> <br />Police <br /> <br />53) If required by the Police Department, the building(s) shall be equipped with an alarm sys- <br />tem, the type to be approved by the Police Department; this system shall be installed prior <br />to occupancy of the building. <br /> <br />Engineering <br /> <br />54) The developer shall install 6 ft. wide natural colored concrete sidewalk along the street <br />frontage of the project site. Said sidewalk shall be installed adjacent to the curb and gut- <br />ter and shall be poured monolithically. A detail of the sidewalk shall be provided on the <br />plans submitted for issuance of building permits and shall be subject to review and ap- <br />proval by the City Engineer. <br />
