PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC -2017-24 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT <br />FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR THE <br />JOHNSON DRIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE (JDEDZ) <br />AS FILED UNDER CASE P14-0852 <br />WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton has applied for a General Plan Amendment to <br />change the Land Use Designation on 12 parcels at 7106 through 7315 <br />Johnson Drive and 7035 and 7080 Commerce Circle, comprising <br />approximately 40 acres known as the Johnson Drive Economic <br />Development Zone, from Business Park (Industrial/Commercial and <br />Office) and General and Limited Industrial to Retail/Highway/ Service <br />Commercial; Business and Professional Offices (the "Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public meeting of October 11, 2017, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of City staff concerning the proposed General Plan <br />Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), a <br />Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) was prepared and <br />recommended for certification for the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission finds that the proposed General Plan <br />Amendment is consistent with the Goals and Policies of the Pleasanton <br />General Pian. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. <br />Recommends approval of the application of The City of Pleasanton for a <br />General Plan Amendment to change the Land Use Designation on 12 <br />parcels at 7106 through 7315 Johnson Drive and 7035 and 7080 <br />Commerce Circle, comprising approximately 40 acres known as the <br />Johnson Drive Economic Development Zone, from Business Park <br />(Industrial/Commercial and Office) and General and Limited Industrial to <br />Retail/Highway/ Service Commercial; Business and Professional Offices <br />as shown on the attached map (Exhibit A) . <br />
