PC -2017-23 <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING CERTIFICATION OF A SUPPLEMENTAL <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT REPORT (SEIR) FOR THE APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON FOR THE JOHNSON DRIVE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ZONE (JDEDZ) AS <br />FILED UNDER CASE P14-0852 AND PUD -105 <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />WHEREAS, <br />The City of Pleasanton has applied for applications on 12 parcels at <br />7106 through 7315 Johnson Drive and 7035 and 7080 Commerce Circle, <br />comprising approximately 40 acres known as the Johnson Drive Economic <br />Development Zone for: (1) approval of a General Plan Amendment to <br />change the land use designation of the project site from Business Park <br />(Industrial/Commercial and Office) and General and Limited Industrial to <br />Retail/Highway/ Service Commercial; Business and Professional Offices; <br />and (2) approval of a Planned Unit Development (PUD) Rezoning to <br />rezone the project site from Planned Unit Development -General and Light <br />Industrial (PUD-G&LI) District, Planned Unit <br />Development-Industrial/Commercial-Office (PUD-I/C-O) District, and <br />General Industrial (I -G-40,000) District to PUD -C District (the "Project"); <br />and <br />pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), a SEIR was <br />prepared for the Project; and <br />at its duly noticed public meeting of October 11, 2017, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of City staff concerning the proposed SEIR, General <br />Plan Amendment and PUD Rezoning; and <br />the Planning Commission at its regular meeting on October 11, 2017, <br />reviewed the potential Project impacts in accordance with the applicable <br />state and local guidelines governing the preparation of the SEIR and <br />determined that the SEIR is appropriate for the Project and recommended <br />to the City Council that the SEIR for the Project be certified. <br />
