RESOLUTION NO. 17 <br />ATTACHMENT 3 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ADOPTING AN <br />AMENDMENT TO THE GENERAL PLAN, AS FILED UNDER CASE P14-0852, REGARDING <br />A CHANGE IN LAND USE DESIGNATION FOR 12 PARCELS AT 7106 THROUGH 7315 <br />JOHNSON DRIVE AND 7035 AND 7080 COMMERCE CIRCLE, COMPRISING <br />APPROXIMATELY 40 ACRES KNOWN AS THE JOHNSON DRIVE ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT ZONE (JDEDZ), FROM BUSINESS PARK AND GENERAL AND LIMITED <br />INDUSTRIAL TO RETAIUHIGHWAY/SERVICE COMMERCIAL, BUSINESS AND <br />PROFESSIONAL OFFICES <br />WHEREAS, The City of Pleasanton has applied for a General Plan Amendment to <br />change the Land Use Designation on 12 parcels at 7106 through 7315 Johnson Drive and <br />7035 and 7080 Commerce Circle, comprising approximately 40 acres known as the Johnson <br />Drive Economic Development Zone, from Business Park (Industrial/Commercial and Office) <br />and General and Limited Industrial to Retail/Highway/ Service Commercial; Business and <br />Professional Offices (the "Project"); and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public meeting of October 11, 2017, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, agenda reports, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of City staff concerning the proposed General Plan Amendment; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission at its regular meeting on October 11, 2017 <br />adopted Resolution PC -2017-20, determining that the proposed General Plan Amendment is <br />appropriate for the Project and recommending to the City Council that P14-0852 be approved; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public meeting of November 7, 2017, the City Council <br />considered all public testimony, agenda reports, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of <br />City staff and the Planning Commission concerning the proposed General Plan Amendment; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), a <br />Supplemental Environmental Impact Report (SEIR) was prepared and recommended for <br />certification for the Project; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the proposed General Plan Amendment is <br />consistent with the Goals and Policies of the Pleasanton General Plan. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE, AND ORDER THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council adopts an amendment to the Land Use Element of the <br />Pleasanton General Plan 2005-2025, as set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and made part <br />of this resolution by reference. <br />SECTION 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br />adoption. <br />
