PL£ASANTON. CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />9 <br />November 7, 2017 <br />Finance <br />TITLE: APPROVAL OF THE CITY PURCHASING PROCEDURES AND MANUAL <br />SUMMARY <br />In October 2016 the City Council approved a revised Purchasing Procedures Manual <br />(2016 Manual) which establishes guidelines for assisting City employees with <br />purchasing supplies and contracting for services. The proposed Purchasing Procedures <br />and Manual (2017 Manual) addresses areas in the 2016 Manual that were either vague <br />or not addressed. In addition, the proposed 2017 Manual includes reference to adhering <br />to granting agency procurement requirements when using grant funds. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve the attached Draft Purchasing Procedures and Manual. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />There is no financial impact associated with approving the proposed 2017 Manual. <br />
