THE CITY OF <br />pLEASANTONC <br />CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br />3 <br />November 7, 2017 <br />City Manager <br />Housing Division <br />TITLE: APPROVE SUBMITTAL OF AN APPLICATION FOR THE HOUSING - <br />RELATED PARKS PROGRAM TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />SUMMARY <br />In March 21, 2017, the City Council adopted a resolution approving the submittal of an <br />application to the State of California Department of Housing and Community <br />Development (HCD) for $187,200 Housing -Related Parks (HRP) Program funds for the <br />expansion of the parking lot at Cubby's Dog Park at Bernal Avenue. In June 30, 2017, <br />HCD notified the City that it has been awarded HRP Program funds for this park project. <br />However, in October 11, 2017, HCD instructed the City that a new City resolution is <br />required to accurately reflect the increased funding award of $196,925 prior to executing <br />a Standard Agreement with the City. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt the attached resolution, as provided by HCD, reflecting the $196,925 of HRP <br />funds that have been awarded to the City. <br />FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br />The City has been awarded $196,925 of HRP Program funds. These funds would be <br />appropriated through a future budget action to be considered by the City Council. All <br />funds would be required to be appropriated by April 20, 2019 and expended by June 30, <br />2019. <br />
