CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 644 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 4 TO TITLE IV OF THE <br /> ORDINANCE CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, SAID <br /> CHAPTER PROHIBITING THE DUMPING OF FOREIGN MATERIALS <br /> WITHIN WATERCOURSES AND PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL <br /> OF SUCH MATERIALS. <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Io <br /> <br />!~itle IV of the Ordinance Code of the City of Pleasanton is hereby <br /> <br /> me ded by the addition thereto of Chapter 4 prohibiting the dump- <br /> n <br /> <br /> g of foreign materials within watercourses and providing for the <br /> iremoval of such materials therefrom, said chapter as added to <br /> <br /> rovide as follows: <br /> <br /> Chapter 4 <br /> DUMPING OF FOREIGN MATERIALS IN WATERCOURSES <br /> <br /> Article 1 <br /> Findings and <br /> Definitions <br /> <br /> 4-7.01 Declaration of Findings. The City Council of the City <br /> <br /> of Pleasanton does hereby find and declare as follows: <br /> <br /> (a) That, in consonance with the finding of the State <br /> legislature that the State has a primary interest <br /> in preserving and maintaining watercourses to <br /> provide beneficial use of waters to the people of! <br /> the State, the people of the City of Pleasanton <br /> have a primary interest in the conservation, con- <br /> trol, and utilization of water resources contained <br /> in the City, and in the protection of the qualityi <br /> of all waters of the City for the use and enjoy- <br /> ment of the residents thereof; that the activitie~ <br /> and factors which may affect the quality of the <br /> waters of the City and the assured free flow <br /> of said waters should be regulated to attain <br /> <br /> <br />
