CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 642 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE REPEALING THE PROVISIONS OF ORDINANCE #633, <br /> WHICH AMENDED CHAPTER 2, TITLE II OF THE ORDINANCE CODE <br /> OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ADDING TO THE R-1-6500 (ONE <br /> FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT THE RO (RESIDENTIAL OVERLAY) <br /> DISTRICT AND CHANGING FROM THE R-1 (ONE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) <br /> DISTRICT TO THE RM-1500 (MULTI-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) DISTRICT <br /> PROPERTY OF COSTANZO-WILSON DEVELOPMENT COMPANY, BEING IN <br /> TOTAL APPROXIMATELY 69.7 ACRES IN SIZE AND LOCATED AT THE <br /> SOUTHEASTERN INTERSECTION OF THE ARROYO MOCHO CANAL AND <br /> THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRACKS <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there was filed with the City Clerk and certified <br /> ,to the City Council a valid, qualified referendum petition against <br /> <br /> the provisions of Ordinance No. 633; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, ~4052 of the Elections Code requires the City <br /> <br /> Council to either repeal Ordinance No. 633 or schedule an election <br />.~ thereon; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the expense of a special election is considerable <br /> and to be avoided if possible and the next regular municipal <br /> <br />~ election is inconsistent with expeditious disposition of the <br /> <br /> matter herein; <br /> <br /> I. <br /> <br /> The provisions of Ordinance No. 633 providing for some 66.2 <br />,: acres of R0 (Residential Overlay) zoning and some 3.5 acres of <br /> <br /> , RM-1500 (Multi-Family Residential) zoning for property owned by <br /> <br />': Costanzo-Wilson Development Company, located at the southeastern <br />! <br /> <br />.' intersection of the Arroyo Mocho and the Southern Pacific Railroad <br />,i <br /> tracks, are hereby repealed and the appropriate City officers <br /> instructed to take whatever action necessary to implement the <br /> repeal thereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
