[a.] Group S occupancies where there are less than three (3) fire sprinkler system(s); i.e. fire sprinkler <br />risers, rack sprinkler risers, etc. <br /> <br />(10.) All Group U occupancies exempted <br />(11 .) Refer to Fire Code Standard 38-3 for fire alarm requirements. <br /> <br />(d) Subsequent fire alarm signals and valve tamper shall be transmitted over digital dialers <br />(communicators) as listed by CSFM, Underwriters Laboratory and approved by the Livermore <br />Pleasanton Fire Department. All devices transmitting data to the Underwriters Laboratory Listed <br />Central Station shall be compatible with the fire alarm receiver and manufacturer compliance <br />programming. <br /> <br />(e) Digital communicators alarm transmission format(s) to include 3-1, 4-2, FSK, BFSK, <br />Modem II, and Modem II Point I.D. or as approved by the Livermore Pleasanton Fire <br />Department. A daily test report signal is required. <br /> <br /> (f) If available from the manufacturer(s) an on-site LED/alpha numeric local system <br /> annunciator with reset and trouble silence shall be provided on the fire alarm panel and/or other <br /> location(s) approved by the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department. All annunciator location(s) <br /> shall be provided with clear operational instructions, zone information and site map. <br /> <br /> (g) All fire alarm transmission equipment, including water flow devices shall be compatible <br /> with the computerized monitoring equipment at the. Underwriters Laboratory Listed Central <br /> Station. <br /> <br /> (h) Specialized fire suppression equipment and specialized monitoring/detection equipment <br /> shall be required to transmit alarm information to the Underwriters Laboratory Listed Central <br /> Station as required by the Livermore Pleasanton Fire Department. Examples, such as but not <br /> limited to, halon systems, hydrogen detection, highly toxic gas detection systems, dry-pipe air <br /> monitoring, heat and/or smoke detection systems other than single station devices, etc. <br /> <br /> (i) Fire alarm connection requirements as contained in Pleasanton Fire Sprinkler Standard <br /> 38-3 shall also apply. Methods of connection shall be based on items 1-8 above for these <br /> residential occupancies. <br /> <br /> (j) Final (as built) plans including a copy of "Alarm Information" shall be maintained and on <br /> file at the control panel or other on- site location (Key-lock Box) approved by the Fire <br /> Department.
