THE CITY OF <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> PLEASANTON, <br /> October 3, 2017 <br /> Library Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVE A MODIFIED MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING <br /> BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLEASANTON AND THE PLEASANTON <br /> UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT RELATED TO LIBRARY CARDS <br /> SUMMARY <br /> This modified memorandum of understanding between the City of Pleasanton and the <br /> Pleasanton Unified School District (PUSD), originally adopted by the City Council on <br /> September 5, 2017, changes the parent consent for the program to an opt-in instead of <br /> an opt-out process and updates the date to reflect the October 3, 2017, decision for this <br /> modified MOU. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve a modified memorandum of understanding between the City of Pleasanton and <br /> the Pleasanton Unified School District to allow data sharing which will make student <br /> identification cards function as Pleasanton Public Library cards. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> There is no fiscal impact related to this memorandum of understanding. <br />
