ORDINANCE NO. 2165 <br /> AN OMNIBUS ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ADOPTING MUNICIPAL CODE AMENDMENTS REGARDING: §2.08.190 AUTHORIZE <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE REGULATIONS FOR THE CEMETERY; §5.24.010 TIME PERIOD <br /> FOR BUSINESS LICENSE PAYMENTS AND ACCEPTING POSTMARKS; §6.40.140 <br /> PROVIDING TIME FOR PROCESSING TAXI DRIVER APPLICATIONS; §9.24.040 & <br /> §13.08.190 CORRECT CLERICAL ERROR INVOLVING ORDINANCES 2125 AND <br /> 2136; §11.08.020 CLARIFY CITY TRAFFIC ENGINEER POSITION; §11.36.020 <br /> ALLOW WHITE AND YELLOW CURBS TO BE RESTRICTED PER SIGNAGE; <br /> §11.36.100 ALLOW TRAFFIC ENGINEER TO ADJUST NO PARKING ZONE NEAR <br /> FIRE HYDRANTS; §13.04.050 PROHIBIT PRIVATE PAINTING ON PUBLIC CURBS; <br /> CHAPTER 17.16 CLARIFICATION OF TREE PRESERVATION PROCEDURES; AND <br /> §18.124.070 & 18.124.240 & 18.124.270 CORRECT INTERNAL REFERENCES AND A <br /> CLERICAL ERROR <br /> WHEREAS, the Municipal Code needs amendments to correct internal references <br /> and clerical code errors, reflect current positions and titles, and set forth current practices; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, this omnibus ordinance allows a single ordinance by the Council to <br /> simultaneously bring up-to-date and correct multiple provisions of the Municipal Code. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> SECTION 1. The Municipal Code is amended as provided in Exhibit A, attached <br /> and incorporated by this reference. <br /> SECTION 2. A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times", a newspaper of general <br /> circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance shall be <br /> posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen (15) days after its <br /> adoption. <br /> SECTION 3. This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after its passage <br /> and adoption. <br /> The foregoing Ordinance was introduced at a regular meeting of the City Council <br /> of the City of Pleasanton on August 15, 2017 and adopted at a regular meeting of the City <br /> Council of the City of Pleasanton on September 5, 2017 by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Pentin, Mayor Thorne <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: None <br /> Abstain: None <br /> 1 <br />
