Selection of one Commissioner to replace Commissioner Blank on the <br />Historic Preservation Task Force <br />Chair Pearce stated that it was her understanding that Councilmember Narum had <br />requested this item to be agendized at the City Council level to keep Phil Blank on the <br />Task Force and not appoint another Planning Commissioner to replace him. She asked <br />staff if this item is on the Agenda for the next City Council meeting. <br />Ms. Stern replied that she understands it would be. <br />Chair Pearce recommended that the item be continued until the Planning Commission <br />meeting following the City Council meeting to see what the Council does. She noted <br />that the Council had canceled its first meeting in July due to the Fourth of July holiday <br />and that its next meeting would be on July 16, 2013. <br />Ms. Stern confirmed that was correct <br />f. Selection of one Commissioner to replace Commissioner Narum on the <br />East Pleasanton Specific Plan Task Force <br />Chair Pearce nominated Commissioner Ritter to replace Commissioner Narum on <br />the East Pleasanton Specific Plan Task Force. <br />Commissioner O'Connor seconded the motion. <br />Commissioner Ritter indicated that he would be honored to serve on the Task Force <br />and that he is already honored serving as an Alternate of the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission. He stated that he thinks it would be a good fit as he has no bias in that <br />area since he lives on other side of town. As a side note, he added that having <br />Commissioner Allen on the Task Force prior to her appointment to the Planning <br />Commission is good as she has an understanding of the Task Force, and together with <br />Chair Pearce who is also on the Task Force, this would help the Planning Commission <br />in the process.
