MATTERS INITIATED BY COMMISSION MEMBERS Commissioner Olson noted that there are conditions in both Consent Calendars items regarding electrical wiring. He inquired what would happen if the applicants choose to have wireless network in their homes instead of wiring their homes. Ms. Stern replied that this would be appropriate for the condition on state -of- the -art methods. Commissioner Blank indicated that a few years back, there was a concern discussed on the Commission regarding having network wiring 10Base -T or Base -T put in, which would ensure that even if people have a wireless network, they will still be able to get their DSL, cable, satellite, or dish to that location. He noted that this is a very inexpensive way in terms of percentage where IW costs literally a few dollars put in at construction time. MATTERS FOR COMMISSION'S REVIEW /ACTION /INFORMATION a. Matters for Commission's Information Commissioner Pearce informed the Commission that the East Pleasanton Specific Plan had its first meeting, and all the members, except Nancy Allen, were in attendance. She stated that the Task Force discussed the Brown Act and talked about the background of the East Side. She noted that the hour - and -a -half meeting was well- attended and that there would be another meeting next month. Commissioner Narum stated that Wayne Rasmussen put out an excellent background report on the East Side, which talked about its opportunities and constraints. She noted that the report was amazing and well -done and suggest that the rest of the Commissioners should get a copy.
