3. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE <br />AGENDA <br />There were no members of the audience wishing to address the Planning Commission. <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Janice Stern advised that there were no revisions or omissions to the Agenda. <br />5. CONSENT CALENDAR <br />a. P12 -0601, Little Ivy League <br />Application for a Conditional Use Permit to operate a pre - school for a <br />total of 120 students within the existing building located at <br />4160 Hacienda Drive. Zoning for the property is PUD -I /C -O (Planned <br />Unit Development — Industrial /Commercial - Office) District. <br />Ms. Stern advised the Commission that staff had forwarded an email to the Commission <br />earlier today adding a condition of approval for this proposal regarding the maximum <br />number of persons allowed in the facility at this time. <br />b. P12 -0754, City of Pleasanton <br />Application to recommend approval to the City Council of an amendment to <br />the City of Pleasanton General Plan Housing Element, to amend Program <br />9.7 and Policy 37, which program and policy apply City -wide. <br />Commissioner Blank moved to make the required Conditional Use Permit findings, <br />as listed in the staff report, and to approve Case P12 -0017, subject to the <br />conditions listed in Exhibit A of the staff report and the staff memo; and to <br />recommend approval to the City Council of Case P12 -0754. <br />Commissioner Pearce seconded the motion. <br />Commissioner Narum inquired if the additional condition also applies to the outside play <br />area in terms of requiring a certain number of square feet per child playing there. <br />Ms. Stern explained that the additional condition specifically addresses the requirement <br />of the California Building Code CA related to structural improvements required for <br />schools and child care facilities with more than 250 persons. She indicated that it does <br />not apply to the outdoor play area, but it may affect people outdoors who may want to <br />come indoors at some point. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES, May 9, 2012 Page 2 of 4 <br />
