COMMUNICATIONS <br />Commission Narum advised that the Downtown Hospitality Task Force is getting down <br />to the end and noted that at its last meeting, the Task Force approved a core area that <br />would be allowed to operate up to 11:00 p.m. without requiring a Conditional Use <br />Permit, and a transitional area that can operate until 10:00 p.m. She added that there <br />was discussion on relaxing the Noise Ordinance a bit which should be done within a <br />month or so and will be coming before the Planning Commission for review. She <br />indicated that it would be interesting to see how this progresses because while the Task <br />Force is making progress, it is not unanimous to date. <br />Chair Pentin indicated that the Task Force has two more meetings scheduled for May 3 <br />2012 and May 31, 2012 and should be done by then. He noted that Commissioner <br />Narum called it the Downtown Hospitality Task Force, but it is the Downtown Hospitality <br />Guidelines Task Force. He pointed out that the Task Force is working on Guidelines, <br />and this word is sometimes dropped in discussions. He added that he hopes that he <br />and Commissioner Narum will have something good to report in another month. <br />Commissioner Narum agreed that "Guidelines" is important. She added that the Task <br />Force will have had a total of four extra meetings <br />10. REFERRALS <br />No discussion was held or action taken. <br />11.
