RESOLUTION NO. 17-925 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ADOPTING <br /> THE DOWNTOWN PARKING STRATEGY AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN, AS FILED <br /> UNDER CASE P17-0055 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council accepted an update of the draft Downtown Parking Strategy <br /> and Implementation Plan (Parking Plan) and provided further direction at its meeting of July 19, <br /> 2016, City Council meeting, and the Parking Plan was subsequently the subject of discussion at <br /> multiple meetings with stakeholders and individuals; and <br /> WHEREAS, the at its duly noticed public hearing of March 8, 2017, the Planning <br /> Commission provided a favorable recommendation of the Parking Plan to City Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, at a public hearing on April 18, 2017, staff presented to the City Council the <br /> Parking Plan to identify strategies to more effectively manage and increase the parking supply in <br /> Downtown Pleasanton's core commercial area. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> PLEASANTON DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER THE FOLLOWING: <br /> SECTION 1. Council finds that the Parking Plan is exempt from the California <br /> Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15262, Feasibility and Planning Studies, <br /> as it has been determined that specific plans for any subsequent improvements related to <br /> strategies in the Parking Plan will be evaluated to determine if additional environmental <br /> documentation is necessary at that, and the Parking Plan itself will not cause a significant negative <br /> effect on the environment. <br /> SECTION 2. Council adopts the Parking Plan incorporated herein by reference and on file <br /> in the Community Development Department. <br /> SECTION 3. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Pleasanton at a <br /> regular meeting held on April 18, 2017. <br /> I, Karen Diaz, City Clerk of the City of Pleasanton, California, certify that the foregoing <br /> resolution was adopted by the City Council at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of April 2017, <br /> by the following vote: <br /> Ayes: Councilmembers Brown, Narum, Olson, Vice Mayor Pentin <br /> Noes: None <br /> Absent: Mayor Thorne <br /> Abstain: None <br /> S-1, <br /> K. en N iaz, City Clerk <br /> AP' 'OV a R 0 FORM: <br /> ;t�` <br /> Daniel G.
