simim
A DIVISION OF LEHR
Length of time performing Installation services
Lehr has been performing emergency vehicle installations since the late 1980's. In the last 7 years, our
installation department has grown to handle approximately 100 vehicles per month between 20
technicians. Our Installation manager has 20 years in the industry and our technicians have been
working on emergency vehicles an average of 3-4 years. We handle installations from undercover
vehicles with minimal lighting and radios to full command vehicles with a full complement of lights,
sirens, custom cabinets,and communication equipment.
Our location in Pittsburg, Pursuit North, where the installations for this bid will be built, with 10
technicians and an installation manager with 20+years in the business has been in the upfitting industry
over 20 years. Pursuit North was purchased by Lehr in 2009 and has been our installation facility serving
our Bay Area customers as a division of Lehr since that time.
Quality control / Assurance program / guidelines
Quality control is something that Lehr takes into account during every step of the build process. We
take steps to meet with the customer before parts are ordered to make sure that the equipment being
put on the vehicle will work as the customer expects. Once the parts are received and the vehicles are
to be delivered,we make sure that we have gone over the installations with the customer to make sure
that all mounting locations, lighting controls, etc are put in writing to ensure consistency amongst the
builds. All throughout the installation process, our Installation& Shop Managers are monitoring the
buildups to make sure that they catch any quality control issues. And once the vehicle is completed,a
final quality control inspection is performed.
