THE CITY /O F1 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT 7 <br /> pLE ASANTONo <br /> July 18, 2017 <br /> Community Development <br /> Traffic Engineering Division <br /> TITLE: ADOPT A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AN APPLICATION WITH THE <br /> METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION <br /> OF TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT ARTICLE 3 FUNDS FOR <br /> BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS ON THE WEST LAS <br /> POSITAS BOULEVARD CORRIDOR <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) provides annual funding through <br /> Transportation Development Act (TDA) Article 3 for bicycle and pedestrian <br /> improvements. The 2017 Allocation of the TDA Article 3 funds is recommended for use <br /> on the West Las Positas Corridor. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Adopt a resolution authorizing an application with the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission for $70,707 in TDA Article 3 funds for the design and construction of <br /> bicycle and pedestrian improvements on the West Las Positas Corridor. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Adoption of this resolution confirms that the City is committing the necessary resources <br /> to complete the project. As part of the recently adopted Capital Improvement Program <br /> Budget, Council approved local funding of $50,000 in the current year and $900,000 of <br /> funding in FY 2018/19. This $70,707 in TDA funds augments the $950,000. <br />
